"Light Codes" is an interdisciplinary street theatre that deals with the phenomena of circle and light. The performers explore the circle as a marker of integrity, repetition and circulation in nature, such as a solar cycle. Circling indicates that it is not just us who exist in space and time, but that time and space also exist within us. This artistic performance is one in a series of events under the common name "Algorithm 35", which this year marks the 35th anniversary of the theatre.
Theatre Mimart is one of the first alternative theatres in the Balkans, which was founded by Nela Antonović along with assembled artists in Belgrade in 1984. To date, the theatre members have realized more than 60 theatre performances, over 500 art performances and street art projects, as well as over 300 open workshops. They have participated as partners in many intercultural projects at home and abroad, and this year they represent Serbia in Plovdiv, the European Capital of Culture.
