Selfie is a self-portrait type image, typically taken with a smartphone which may be held in the hand or supported by a selfie stick. Selfies are often shared on social networking services like Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter and others.

The artist chose to portrait famous people as they are taking their selfies. The reason for this lies in the fact that their faces are generally well known and recognizable. According to him, the exhibition could serve as a good trigger for critical debate when it comes to photography as an art form in today’s world, as well as the conversation about where the selfies fit into it – if at all.

Kristijan Antolović is an award-winning photographer who lives and works in Ireland. His work has been published in numerous international publications. He has a decade long career in mostly fashion photography. Kristijan has had three solo exhibitions and has been featured in more than 20 group exhibitions worldwide. He currently works as a head of photography for an Irish skincare brand.
