With the premiere concert entitled Romance, Uroš Dojčinović marks 35 years of cooperation with the Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence “Stanislav Binički“.
Spectacular programme of the concert Romance leads the audience into the world of virtuoso and lyric melodies, through pieces specially selected for this occasion, inspired by etho sounds of the Mediterranean, composed by music masters like Paganini, Carulli, Tarrega, Halfter, Rodrigo and others.

Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence “Stanislav Binički” is an institution which promotes and represents in a dignified manner the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Serbia. The Ensemble is the main carrier of musical life within these institutions and the only ensemble in the region with such a wide range of performing possibilities. In the course of a long tradition of its existence, which delves into the time of three centuries, the Ensemble has changed the name, organizational form and structure, but it has persisted and remained true to its purpose and its mission to be the main carrier of musical life in the Army, to contribute to nurturing, stimulating and dissemination of musical creativity and military traditions of our people, and to promote cultural life and artistic creations in the Army.
In the premiere program ROMANCE, which at the same time celebrates 35 years of artistic collaboration with Dojčinović, Ensemble is for this occasion specially reduced.
Uroš Dojčinović, PhD, guitarist, composer, musicologist, pedagogue and publisher was born in Belgrade (Serbia) in 1959. He studied classical guitar and literature in Belgrade, graduated from Zagreb Academy of Music (Republic of Croatia), and completed his post-graduate work, defending two doctorates on interdisciplinary music topics at the Faculties of Philology and Philosophy of the University of Belgrade. Dojčinović’s artistic activity covers over 3500 performances around the world, a large number of radio and television appearances, hundreds of lectures and master classes, as well as participation in various national and international juries. In addition to professional writing and composing Dojčinović has published more than 600 different works and realised over 60 recordings (LPs, music cassettes, CDs and DVD albums), for various publishing companies in Europe and the USA. For his multiple artistic activities he has received more than 50 medals, plaques, diplomas and other awards at home and abroad.
